FAQs
how much do most Perth to Broome Tour Cost? how many companies run perth to Broome
Around $2999- 3750aud for a 10-13 days tour. There are only 3 main companies running Perth to Broome Tours in 2025.
Many travel agencies will show a Perth to Broome or Perth to Exmouth Tour on their website. These agencies are acting as middlemen and will make the booking for you with one of the three companies available. This system is good when the agent is knowledgeable and is looking out for your best interest. However some agents may book you with the company that gives them the most commission. It’s best to do your own research if possible and find the tour that will suit you best.
In our opinion 10 days is not long enough to properly enjoy the sites on the west coast between Perth and Broome. On a 10 day tour you will spend much of your time in the bus and usually wake up at 5-6am. The trip is around 4000+kms so it can be a lot of travelling for that period of time.
Why Not Bus tours are designed to be longer and give you more time, hiking, snorkeling and relaxing at the amazing beaches on the West Coast. You will have time to sleep
Is there a Greyhound Perth to Exmouth Bus or Perth to Broome Bus?
DThe Integrity Coach Lines bus service is the only greyhound style coach that travels from Perth to Broome. The coastal service leaves Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. A more direct service on the inland road departs Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. The Integrity Coach Lines offers a hop-on hop-off option. This requires the booking of multiple shuttle transfers from the main road to the attractions. This is required in Kalbarri, Monkey Mia and Karijini National Park. due to the timing of the bus some of the transfers will be between midnight and 4am.
With this option you will also need to book separate day tours to visit the beaches and sites. These day tours take you from the town to the attractions in the National Parks. Towns on the West Coast are often very small with limited car rental options.
If you would like to take the cheapest way from Perth to Broome. The direct Integrity Coach Lines bus can get you there in 34 hours. The price of this ticket is approximately $280. This can be cheaper than a flight if booking at the last minute. The coach has toilets and upright seats so sleeping would be more comfortable if you bring your own pillow.
When is the best time to visit the West Coast of Australia?
Peak season for the Mid and North West (Perth to Broome and beyond) generally runs April-September with surges during school holiday months. Perth experiences winter over this time but clear warmer weather can be felt as you travel North. Any time between March and November is recommended to join the Why Not Bus Perth to Broome Tour or Perth Exmouth Karijini Return. Our Tours break late December through February due to hot unpredictable weather and an overpopulation of Flies!!
December to early March brings extremely high temperatures and wind to the North West. Occasional Tropical weather systems can cause road closures and flooding in the far North. My picks on best travel times are shown below.
South West and Perth to Kalbarri: October to April. Expect warm/hot fine weather.
Monkey Mia to Karijini National Park: Mid March to November. Expect fine warm days and cool nights June-September.
North of Karijini National Park: April-October. Expect sunny warm/hot weather.
As a Tour Operator in Western Australia, a lot of people ask, when is the best time to visit the West Coast? The answer depends completely on which part/parts of this magnificent state you would like to see. Western Australia from top to bottom is almost the same distance as Morocco to Denmark. So as you can imagine the weather in the south can be completely different to the weather in the north. Below is a quick summary of what to expect in each region.
Perth surrounds and the South West is sunny and warm in summer months (November-April). Cold (2-10 degrees) nights are common in the remainder of the year.
