Exmouth to Broome bus tour – the itinerary!
Day one, jump on board the bus at Exmouth where you will meet your tour guide and your fellow backpacking companions before heading to your campsite for your first night. Become part of the Why Not Bus family as we share funny travel stories, laugh, chat and let the night take us where it will under the twinkling stars in the remote outback of Australia. Then crawl into your sleeping bags to get some well-needed sleep in preparation for our first day full of swimming, hiking and exploring the stunning nature of Western Australia.
Day two, traverse Karijini National Park as you work up a sweat hiking the stunning Hancock Gorge trail, then cool off with a dip at the refreshing Kermits Pool and gaze at the rugged rock formations that surround you. There will also be time here to take some pics at the Jofre, Junction Pool and Oxers Lookouts. Then scoff-down a well-earned lunch before travelling onto Knox Gorge for some more swimming.
Day three, wake to breakfast served by your guide, then onto Dales Gorge for a walk down to the flowing waters of Fortescue Falls, and the Fern Pool for a morning swim whilst admiring the natural beauty of the green vegetation covering the red earth. Continue through Dales Gorge with a 1.5 km hike to Circular Pool; a natural pool skirted with a rocky cliff-face. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the traditional owners of Karijni and stock up on your souvenirs at the Karijini Visitor Centre.
Day four, travel to Port Hedland chatting and sharing your favourite pictures of the journey so far. Break here for a few hours of your own time, then meet back at 1.30am for the trip to Broome. Sleep on the bus and wake up to beautiful Broome at 8.15am.
